How to Create that 'Date Night' Look
Whether you’re heading out on a first date, or you’re preparing for an anniversary dinner, you want to look the part. Knowing your hair is on point for the night will give you the confidence you need to see you through, so we’ve gathered our top tips for creating the perfect date night look, ensuring you make a strong impression.
Keep Things Simple
You often find that keeping things simple is the best option when it comes to your hair. The last thing you want to do is head out of the house with a whole tub of wax coated on your locks that leaves a strong scent wherever you go.
- Give your hair a quick wash to freshen up and towel dry it roughly, keeping it slightly damp.
- Grab your tub of hair Matt Clay, Paste or Pomade and take a small amount into your fingers.
- Rub the product gently between your palms to slightly heat it before applying
- Using both hands, rub the product through your hair, creating your signature look. Remember to keep your style true to yourself, you don’t want to go out with a whole new look and not feel yourself on a date.
- Check to make sure all of the product is rubbed in properly; you don’t want any attention drawn to clumps you missed.
Now you’ve mastered the ‘date night’ look of simple yet stylish hair, you can make sure you look and smell the part.
Dress with Style
Deciding what to wear is never easy - but remember less is more. For some reason people panic and dress in an outfit that doesn’t suit their style or personality, which is just going to put your date off. Take a look at your wardrobe, grab yourself a classic shirt or t-shirt and pair with a pair of jeans. Throw on a bomber or a leather jacket and finish off the look with a pair of smart casual shoes. Whilst it depends on the date night activities, you want to come across as stylish without being too over the top.
Smell Good
Its important to smell good on a date. From a spray of deodorant to prevent any unnecessary sweating, to a squirt of aftershave to give you that endearing scent, you want to keep the sprays to a minimum. Try to stick to two/three squirts of aftershave before heading out of the door. You don’t want to overpower the date with your aftershave, so make sure you keep it to a minimal.
Neaten Up
Stubble can be a look for some men, but wispy uncared for stubble is just a no. Get your razor and give your face a soft once over. Neatening up those hairs will help to give you a clean, fresh look and show that you care the right amount about your appearance.
