Choosing the Right Hair Product

Originally, pomade was produced using mineral oils, working to promote your hairs shine and groom hair with ease. Today, you have the option of water-based pomades, which are often found to be much softer and less greasy. By using pomade, you are able to create a wet-look, glossy finish with added sheen. Water-based pomades are also great for masking damaged, frizzy ends due to the natural moisturising elements within the product.

For those looking for a firmer hold, clay is your stickier, stronger version of pomade. By using Matt Clay in your hair, you’re adding thickness and body, whilst still maintaining that low sheen, matt finish. Clays are ideal for building texture and adding definition to your style, creating a volumized look that will stay put for hours. There are many benefits to using clay products when styling your hair, with them nourishing the scalp and hair due to the added minerals and nutrients, as well as controlling frizzy, out of control hair (especially when used in humid conditions).

Many people opt for a more natural look when it comes to styling their hair, which is where paste comes in extremely handy. Paste is the go-to product for a low sheen, natural look whilst still giving your hair the added boost it needs to get through the day. By using texturizing paste when styling, you can create texture to enhance the natural look and give more character.
